Great epic community event, just excludes about 2/3 of the Bioware community. Non US residents and residents of florida and new york aren't eligible. I have about 6000 tokens from the games I bought but it can't be used.

talk about anti-climax... jeeeez. I thought they were going to announce a new game/ new IP. It's like two or three years ago when they hyped another countdown to launch the new DA-website. The da-forums went wild with speculation and what it ended up being was a very short faq and a big logo....yay.

This must be EA idea. "Youre so popular. Lets make a t-shirt shop for the fans!".

What happened? EA is what happened. To quote zakhal verbatim: "This must be EA idea. 'You're so popular. Lets make a t-shirt shop for the fans!'"

EA is the reversed Midas Touch. I'll leave the rest to your imagination...

Indeed, an epic countdown for an epic laugh. Thanks Bioware/EA for making my day. April's fool came early this year! It's a joke right... right?

What? The Dragon Age: Origins PC just has the box art on it? But I wanted a screenshot from when I was playing with a nudie mod! Harrumph. Guess I'm stuck with Falcon Northwest. ;)

Lots of teen angst and bashing on biowares social forum. :)

Kinda underwhelming though.

Getting fed up by all US only stuff.

Yes, the reverse Midas touch, that's well said. Hope they won't do with Bioware what they did with Origin Systems.

Not saying that I wouldnt like a Morrigan figurine w/ her hip jutted out and a legendarily bitchy look on her face or anything….

This is seriously something that we're supposed to be all fired up about tho???

Not so much anymore :(, Bioware used to be a Canadian company and that thing isn't even open to canadians :P.

This is pretty underwhelming, definitely not worth a countdown heh.

I can't think of any contest that was/is international, off hand. You run into MASSIVE legal problems when you try to do that.

I've participated in international contests on a few occasions and very often across the americas at very least ;). I'm sure there are some legal matters to take care of in some specific areas (Hence why NY, Florida and such are excluded as well) but for the most part it isn't the case.

…Besides, Bioware has offices all over canada and has held contest in Canada and abroad before, therefor they should know what is required to make it happen. I'm guessing this is mainly EA's doing. (The contest and the lack of will to pay attention to other markets)

When I left Canada contests used to require at least 30% of proceeds go to some charity and had to be registered. They also required some sort of skill testing question. It seems to be much easier now with their half billion dollar casinos opening up - mostly to keep Canadians from throwing their money down holes in the US.

I won a JoWood contest that was on the Gothic 2 development site... I think it was 2003. Anyway, just wanted to A.) Brag again and B.) Prove the ease of international contests.
