Hello, everyone,
by now, Gray Matter by Jane Jensen (Gabriel Knight series) is out.
It's a game about … Well, I don't really get it. I think it's about paranormality, so to say, and experiments with humans - with human brains ?
dtp has once again proved that they are primarily an adventure games company. Which could explain the poor support they did for Drakensang and the other RPGs.
They have launched quite a marketing campaign, and a new web site regarding the game : http://www.graymatter-game.com/index.php?lang=en
It is released for the xbox and the PC - plus in a Collector's Edition for the PC, too.

The game comes out here in Germany in both German and English languages; this mostly, as I understand it, because Mrs. Jensen was also responsible for the sound of the games - and therefore for spoken dialogues as well, I guess.
I played a tiny fraction of it at the Games Com this year, but it was too tiny to really enable me to tell enough about the game.
The oddest think in it is its interface : The "menu on strings" you can see on the left side of the web page is in a similar form part o the interface within the game, too.
dtp tries/does everything to make this gme THE experience for adventure gamers.
Me, I'm not that sure, since I never like the rather dark and a bit horror-themed Gabriel Knight series of adventures. Which means that I'm ot sure whether I'll bu it or not. But I guess yes … Some time.
Alrik
P.S. : Sorry if my posting sounds too much like a marketing blurb. I'm jut fond of adventure games in general. ;)
