Congrats on the move!
If I may ask for one thing- now that you have the freedom of being an independent board again, please do not let these forums descend into the madness that they have over at RPGCodex. Please keep RPG Watch respectable and creditable!
Thank you!

What happens depends upon the community as much as anything else. Given the tenor of initial discussion as well as the history at the Dot, I expect that things will be good here.

With the folks running the show here, I don't think that will be a problem. All the old dictators are back! ;)

The reason for the move was to improve the overall quality of the site, so I know this one will be no less then the Dot was.

The Codex has no moderation whatsoever, which works for them but not for us. However, we want to allow a little more freedom than in some years past of RPGDot.

The codex have plenty of everything - the good, the bad AND the ugly. Lots of ugly actually!

Just the speed of the forums is worth it, I dont have to shift-click and get several windows loading at once!
Too bad about Val, miss her =[

Can you share why she didn't come, or is it personal?

Jabber here just saying I think the move was a great idea and OH how wonderfully fast the pages load!!! :D
P.S. I noticed the newsbit about the big move was taken off of the 'dot. Guess they didn't like that one, eh? It was on there for what, like a day? Good thing I remembered the new site name!

To be honest I don't know how much better it is compared to the dot. At RPGDot we had around 100 visitors at most times. I don't know how many we have here, but I'm sure its less.

Corwin, don't, under any circumstances, give Cm a whip. I guess she brought her list from the Dot to here, so my guess is that at least half of the current members would go KIA ^_^
And rebuild either the Barn of the SBR :)

Cm adds Neo to the list now as well. lol I don't see how the pages can't load faster, all the ad garbage is gone.

Things like the Barn and the SBR will have to wait, but eventually........... :)

I wouldn't worry about the number of viewers. Its bound to pick up with the good foundation this site has been started with.
I hope we do see Val again. She was the last one to show something from Christian Game Reviews then got a lot of unnecessary flack for it.
You guys do a great load of work and unfortunately you are target sometimes. Burnout is very real and as well I've had my fair share of forum addiction.
My point being, is what ever her reasons they they are probably good ones and we all have to move on some time if we get too involved in things.

Amen Lucky Day, that's what happened to me. I changed jobs, moved, got really busy and got burnt out with forum surfing. Gothic 3 has gotten me fired up a little again and I'm making a slow comeback.

I mentioned this in another thread but decided to post it here too. Where it probably belongs anyway...
RPGWatch is missing from the Community list over at the PB G3 website.

We're probably a bit new, but I'm sure Gorath will soon have it all in hand!!

True...true...but we are all (most) still old time Gothic players. And dare I say...most are hard core.

(Puts Bart on the list now as well. I started new ones with the new site and look what has happened already. MUHAHAHA)
I hope Gorath gets a good guide up for G3. Mine will be here soon as I hate getting stuck.
