My stuff for the GamerDad site is all volunteer, as is the whole staff - becuase I believe in educating parents about video games.

So imagine my surprise when I saw this (http://www.xbox.com/en-US/community/personality/gamerdad/20061013-whatimdoinghere.htm) - some shill from Microsoft doing a pseudo-blog under the name Gamer Dad.

C'mon, gmme a break!

So what am I asking - don't support this guy in any way, and throw your support behind the free, public and unbiased site ...

Thanks for the momentary soapbox ... IP is so important these days ...

One look was enough to convince me to never return to that site!

Have you sent Brian "Brize" Johnson a quick e-mail? He might not know he's stepping on someone else's IP. He may be friendlier about taking another name before he gets too established. Even if the GamerDad site hasn't formally trademarked the name, it has a history of use under it's belt, which legitimizes its copyright.

Just an update - Microsoft has removed all of the GamerDad stuff and changed it to 'XBOX DAD (http://www.xbox.com/en-US/community/personality/xboxdad/20061013-whatimdoinghere.htm)'. There seemed to be a mounting swell of pressure ;)
