Back in the early 90's I was playing BBS door games (in fact I daresay I wasn't the only one! :) ) and I came across this one game whose name I'm trying to remember.
It was a D&D based text game. The few details I remember are sketchy but I'll do my best to provide as much info as I can.
From what I remember there were 4 places (may have been more but I only remember those), a swamp for higher levels, mountain with the newbie dungeon, the mines which were dark and you had to have a special torch to light them up? and the town where you came back to rest and stuff.
Now in the mines there was a certain ore you had to collect at some point in the game, but I don't know much about that as I never made it that high in level, but I do know that in the newbie dungeon there was a door that could only be opened up by a rogue of level 4 or higher, and once opened for the first time it was open for everyone. Also near the door was an underground lake or something that you had to cross.
This is all very vague I know but I'm hoping that there is someone out there who knows what I'm talking about and what the name of this game was, as I want to go back and have a look at it for nostalgia's sake.
