Thanks to a post from Prime Junta on our forums for pointing out that Team Gizka's KotOR2 Restoration Project has inched closer, having reached v0.90 (http://team-gizka.org/2007-10-22.html). A new video is also on offer.
More information. (http://www.rpgwatch.com/show/newsbit?newsbit=6881)

So how much is actually restored by the patch now? Is there really a great deal more in the game then there was in the original release?

I've been keeping an eye on the forums, and it appears that yes, indeed, a quite a lot has been restored/added. There's the HK-50 factory, several ways to murder Visas, the Handmaiden's story gets a lot more depth, the endgame is a quite a bit longer and more complex, plus a bunch of stuff I don't remember.

But they have been actively working on it for three years. That's more than the occasional line of added dialog for sure.

Think they have merged with the other team as well, so they are adding the Planet back, as well as the factory. :)

Nope, the Planet is not in; just the factory.

There are only four issues left and the "feature issues" has been blacked out. This probably mean they are going to release the mod before all the features are implemented.
