Bread for the Elves

I've delivered the bread for the elves in Act 4, but for some reason whenever I offer bread to them they just say "Humans find this funny??" Is there something I can give them that they will accept?

Yes, there is. Talk to them more. They'll tell you what they want.

Try and figure it out as PJ suggested, but if you are still stuck, here is a hint.They are all starving and need meat.
