There are so many RPG games here and there, and most of the threads are talking about those big games like WOW, LOTRO, EverQuest or Ultima Online, that I don’t know if I would be excused after your reading my post, anyway, I’m going to talk what I’m thinking.

It’s called Shadow of Legend, a 2D fantasy darkness world, with 2.5D version scheduled to release on Oct 15th, is the closest thing to Diablo 2, an all time favorite to hundreds and thousand old school players. It’s a vast world with diverse landscape, with a wide array of standard mmorpg features: Stunning graphics, Decent animation, Intense PVP, Challenging dungeons and instances, No pointless grinding, Extensive crafting system, Skill Progression and Reborn System and so on.

I don't known Shadow of Legend I'll give it a try even if Diablo 2 isn't one of my favorite game.

About highly unknown CRPG but quite great, I know Citadel: Adventure of the Crystal Keep.

It's a black and white game, some parts was like Wizardry and some other parts was more like modern iso game. Fights was in iso and real time and some NPC could follow you and fight and behave by themselves. The fight system was quite good but the best was the mood, mysterious setup quite well done. The puzzles and various problems to solve was another good point even if few was dam tough. There was also many little tricks to find. Also quite good was the NPC, there was some really good interaction. During a long time it's been the best NPC in party I've ever seen in a CRPG.

The problem with Citadel is that it was on Mac and emulator of old mac are a tough point. It's far to be as easy than on PC through DOSBox.
