King Quest: Mask of Eternity

So I got my hands on a copy of King Quest: Mask of Eternity. I'm looking forward to it. Anyone got any input or general comments about the game?

I played it a good part, but it became a bit too boring for me ... But I might re-try it again once in a while ...

I liked the riddles more in it, than the fighting, I must say ...

Decent for an ARPG as I recalled, if not particularly great. The main problem with this game is that it is a King's Quest, and with the name come certain expectations like, you know, that it should be an adventure game ;).

Yes, indeed. I read that many gamers were kind of puzzled (pun intended ;) ) or rather, irritated, about how different it is - and that it is the last game of the series, quite an aprupt ending for a series with such a long life-span.

But I also read that Roberta Williams states thast this game indeed does belong into this series, no matter, how different it might be.

I actually enjoyed it quite a bit when I played it, but this was when it first came out. I'm sure it's probably aged horribly, and it definitely should not have had the King's Quest title, but it was fun for the time.
