Here is us apple picking - self-portrait from last weekend. The boys are 10 and 8.5. The younger one is trying to grow his hair 10" long for the 'locks of love' (they use real hair to make wigs for children with cancer).

And here's a pic of me at E3 '06 with the lovely and multi-talented Blair Butler of G4TV fame. It was near the end of the day and I'm looking pretty haggard. (Look close and you'll see her hand on my back. *drool*)

Yeah, I think there were a few games being demoed there lol. I could only make it for one day, unfortunately, and had a couple of assignment to complete (one of which was the coveted "booth babe coverage" ). Everything was pretty much a blur, but checking out Pirates of the Burning Sea and meeting its devs was a high point for sure! Anyway, I took some nice E3 pics, including many booth babes, if you want me to post them somewhere. :)
Here's one more of me, this time with a couple of 1up ladies:

Just to clarify, the ladies in those E3 pics technically are not "booth babes", although I still found them to be particularly lovely and charming. Now, I'm willing to bet that anyone who watches G4TV and has seen Blair Butler would absolutely melt if they met her in person. She is just such a wonderfully genuine person and OMG, her hawtness level is off the scale. ^^
Sadly, the number of booth babes at E3 this year was a fraction of what it was in years past, but I do have pics of some. This thread is about pics of the RPGWatch community, so I left those out. I'll just go ahead and post them on a seperate thread. ;)

I don't know why Moriendor thinks being gay has anything to do with the idiot known as Viking or any karmic punishment he may have coming to him.

While Viking's misogynistic nonsense was offensive, throwing an homophobic epithet at him risks stooping to his level. Not to mention being equally offensive.

If you would have had the misfortune to see the picture that he posted above "Look its [sic] Jaz" then you'd know that I was actually being really nice when I wished for him to be ass-raped by someone who incorporates everything that he hates for no good reason ;) . Because you never know when a random guest just checks out this thread, looks at the six pixels of portrait and then procedes to run to her house to steal mummy's socks, eh?
But yeah, that's kinda weird. I blame MS Paint and a few too many german beers. :p

I had to work Holloween night. :( But here is a picture of me in costume anyway! It was taken at a renaissance festival about a year ago. Me and my friend were so drunk that we only managed to take 2 pictures. Also, it was raining pretty hard so my pirate hat was a little floppy. :p

@Mike: Yay! The complete coven! And the pic of your dog is just *wonderful*!
@Khass: The mummy is my hubby... whoever steals his socks, loses :p.
@Jabberwocky: Ex-act-ly. No shaving for two days. - But hey, *these* are not killer boots. My killer patent platform boots are thigh high, with six inch heels... hehehe.
@Korplem: I still like your hat, matey! Pirates rule. Here's my pirate costume - unfortunately I don't have a pic with the eye patch I usually wear along with it:

I remember when I was a kid I used to annoy people sometimes. I guess I was starving for attention or something. Anyway, the crazy thing was, I didn't have the good sense to realize that when they told me I was annoying, they weren't kidding! So instead of going away, I just kept at it, all the while making a complete fool of myself and making other people like me less. Oh well, at least I finally grew up. ;)

Yes there is.
not waking up on weekdays
thinking it's a weekday but then realising it's saturday/sunday, and going back to sleep
having a nightmare of an exam, the waking up and realise you're on vacation
waking up with the sun shining on your face
waking up to the songs of birds
enjoying a great breakfast
reading the news in the morning
going outside and feeling the scent of a new season
walking to school/work on a beautiful morning
finding some of your old friends on the street
the school/work going past like a breeze
walking through the park
sitting on a bench and looking at the peple around you
talking on the phone with someone you haven't seen or heard in a long while
feeding the pigeons and chatting freely with someone you've barely met
going home ang finding your family was waiting for you
going home and thinking the rest of the day is yours to enjoy
going home, and treasuring independence
eating something good
treating yourself with some sweets/favourite food
reading a good book
watching a good muvie
listening to the music you like with the volume high up
randomly dancing to the music through the house
going out and playing a sport you like
checking your forums and smiling/grinning
chatting with interesting people
laughing
shutting the window blinds, getting some supplies close to you and just release your creativity free
exercising your creativity until you sweat
taking a cold shower afterwards
taking a long warm bath afterwards
not drying your hair, and staring out the window for 5 minutes
sitting on a sofa/couch/armchair and simply thinking of something
taking a photobook and recollecting past events with a smile on your face
putting on some music and just standing in the dark, drinking something
getting a friend over and chat until dawn
chat/watch movies/listen to music/read a book until dawn
going to work/school tired, but happy
Was it worth it? Yup.

I think that I just figured out why patience is a virtue. At this point I can only hope that one of the two following mutually exclusive scenarios is true.
1. VB has a wicked sense of humor and has duped us all with his feigned asinine comments. To VB it is funny that we cannot see past his veil of insensitive stupidity and grow angry with what is obviously a hoax. This scenario gives VB the benefit of the doubt the he is in fact not as socially inept as he would have us think he is. In this scenario VB’s seemingly offensive comments are overlooked as they were made in sarcastic jest.
2. For some reason outside of his control VB is incapable of understanding even the most basic concepts behind social interaction. Irregardless of the valiant, patient, and persistent forbearance demonstrated by others, VB's handicap keeps him from understanding the consequences of his actions and words. In this scenario VB is forgiven due to his irreparable ignorance.
If neither the first nor the second scenario is true I can think of no forgivable reason behind VB's posts. I know that a war of words in a forum will be ultimately fruitless, so I will stop here. In any event it would be a boon to the forum if this nonsense were to stop.

Well Khass, you beat me to it. I was thinking there were a lot better things than mustaches and boots too! Like, "raindrops on noses and whiskers on kittens, brown paper packages tied up with string, these are a few of my favorite things."
Wow... this post just got really gay. Sorry!
@Haitham: Well, I have yet to see an annoying post from you, so you must have learned well at some point! :D I'd say the time I stopped trying to be annoying was around the time I figured out that being liked was cool. And that was especially important because I figured that out around the same time I started noticing girls were hot. ;)

I would like to put up some photos of myself.
However, I am so old, that photos of me are pretty dated.
Here is a pic of me from a couple years ago. I'm the guy on the right. One of my friends scrawled this picture on my living room wall. In this pic, I was chasing my pet deer because it had kicked over my turtle-shell bowl of soup. Gosh, I was really mad. I ended up killing and eating my pet that time.

This thread is hard to read with missing posts but quotes..., well, quoting them. Interesting to see what people look like. If people want to see pictures of corwin, there are some of him when he visited a bunker on rpgdot. He isn't as old as he claims. Either that, or I'm old enough to have a warped perspective.
I'd like to see pictures of Dhruin and family. I might have to take a visit to AU to his shop and see what all the secrecy is about. But of course a computer shop in Australia isn't very good directions. And I can't afford the tickets. It would be so much easier if him or his wife just posted pictures.

Dude, what secrecy? :) Dhruin's had his picture up on RPGDot from like the time that he joined the team there in 2003 (IIRC) until very recently when Jolt decided to remove all old staff member profiles from the staff page at RPGDot. Hehe, I personally think that I look(ed) more like my avatar in the previous pic that I posted on RPGDot but I remember that it was pretty funny when Myrthos and I visited Larian Studios in 2002 before Divinity was released and Swen "Lar" Vincke showed us the Divinity intro, then he looked at the 'Moriendor' avatar in the video, looked at me, looked back at the Mo dude in the vid, looked back at me, and concluded that I did coincidentally indeed look like him :) .

My only defense is I have been working long hours the last couple of weeks and have only been home early the last couple of days. I don't think my brain will be fully functional until the weekend.

I don't have any photos of myself. I do not, repeat, do not do photos. It's my public service to the world. My photo could spread like a virus over the internet, be burnt into the retina of every hot blooded male and single handedly stop the continuance of the species (except for people who find minkie whales hot... or dugongs.... I am rather large for a land mammal). No photo of Kayla.... if that doesn't work... I'm a dentist so I can't show my face on television.... or I work for the government and don't want my identity uncovered.

... so we'll just have to think of you as a cat in a chicken hat :D
Kayla
September 6th, 2007, 11:24
That's probably the safest option.
And it's not a hat it's a full chicken outfit, I just had to cut the picture to fit the small avatar box.
By the way, it is not my cat. If I tried to humiliate my cats manhood (my ginger cat is a male, and I have a brown and black tabby girl) like this poor cat I would not be here to tell the tale.

O_O Crapadelic! I didn't mean to say you were a dugong, I was just saying you could say anything and people wouldn't argue. You could say you were a leprechaun, a Hollywood starlet, a Playboy bunny, a Nobel prize winning scientist or a dugong in a red and yellow striped bikini and no one would be game to argue with you.
Man I am so sick of my feet living in my mouth. Sometimes this is not a fun existence.
I hope you believe I wasn't insulting you (well, I know I did but I hope you know it was unintentional) I just didn't quantify the comment to make it make sense... or at least put the thought in context. You could say I look like a dugong (I don't own any bikinis) and that would be fair enough- but you certainly are not in the "too big for land" category. You look lovely in your photos (as I am sure you do in real life) and no-one could say you were overweight or not good looking. You re a fine looking specimen and I hope you do believe I did not mean to call you a dugong, and with the rest of the thought completed above, I hope this now makes more sense, or at least you believe the insult was unintentional and certainly not something I believe.
I know what you are thinking, so I'll just say it for you "bravo Kayla. Well done. Just go around insulting people because you are demented. Your name should be Count Crapula, not Kayla. Who will you insult next? Why not go completely bonkers and just post something about everyone who has ever come to the site! Why not attack Myrthos (other than the little piece of my brain that is labelled self-preservation and an all consuming fear resulting in the use of a Simpsons quote I never thought I could use... "I hope that's Shepherds Pie in my pants"). Well done again. No, really, well done. I don't think anyone could be insulting in such spectacular style- intentional or not. Apply for a job at the U.N., you have made diplomacy and art.... stupid." :slap::sarcasticclap:

Kayla, Kayla... STOP IT ALREADY! :gorath:
I KNEW you weren't insulting me. I really liked the 'dugong' phrase which is why I used it :smitten:! No reason to feel depressed. Had you actually tried to insult me (even though that's pretty impossible over the i-net I'd say), I had just ignored you.... that's more like me. I was just stickling for pics of you in the chicken suit... heh.
@Gorath: M'era Luna (http://www.fkpscorpio.com/meraluna2007/) in Hildesheim. When we arrived on Friday, we nearly drowned, and someone with a 4WD thankfully pulled our camper out of the mud before we went to the hangar disco. Saturday morning was overcast and cool, but then the sun appeared and turned it into Red Nose Day. It stayed this way until Sunday (party bright, partly overcast - very good festival weather), and just after we had left on Monday morning it started raining again. It was funny, every rest stop along the autobahn home was teeming with black-clad folks and neons. On a stretch of sixhundred kilometers!
Camping was great fun. The music? Well, that was fun, too, but the overall friendly atmosphere was what made this festival.

Public Health Warning #718.
Never, ever, ever let Dolly Parton or Pamela Anderson even look at corsets let alone try one on. Their puppies in a corset could explode, and like a tyre exploding when you are doing 120km/hr on the freeway the results could be catastrophic!

I would assume that either his smile is due to a recent 'creation' or that the bubble-bath used changed the water color.

Wrong on all accounts. I was in the tub with sonny (you can see my leg in the water if you look hard enough), and... erm... the color's from my hair.

Seriously tho, those little angels.... my heart. :happycry:
I seriously doubt I'll ever be a father, yet it's something that I'd like so much (So would mama sammy, she's begging me for grandchildren!)it's almost painful to me. 35, and tho I have my girlfriends, still not able to find the right person that I could marry, let alone have children with. I can live vicariously thru others I suppose.

Angels? Y'all don't know them very well. Thank you, though. I ought to take some more pics soon. If I get anything worth sharing, I'll put it up.
I suppose I could share a pic of my son. Mrs dte and I did our honeymoon in the Bahamas. We actually got an extra day free, courtesy of a "little storm" that passed thru. My grandmother insisted that we should name our first child after said weather pattern. And so, without further ado, introducing my 15 year old son, Andrew, doing what he does best:

I feel you, man. :-/ I've had some adventures in my time, but being a parent has, by far, been the most challenging and rewarding at the same time. Don't give up! You have the (unfair) advantage in this area of being a man, so your timeline isn't exactly rigid. :)
