3D People sent us the following press release:
KULT: HERETIC KINGDOMS available on Macintosh computers
3D People and Virtual Programming are glad to announce the release of Kult: Heretic Kingdoms (in US known as Heretic Kingdoms: The Inquisition), a Macintosh conversion of the action role playing game. It’s available for digital download presently and will be available as a box product within the next days...

An isometric action RPG in the style of classics like Diablo, Kult: Heretic Kingdoms puts you in the role of a heroine — a young female “inquisitor” who must destroy a relic which threatens the stability of civilization. You’re drawn into a conflict between two warring secret societies vying for ultimate power.

The decisions you make — good or evil — affect the outcome of the game. You can play either with altruistic motivations or work from viciousness and greed — it’s up to you. There are six different endings to the game, which was originally created by Slovakian developer 3D People and involved game writer and designer Chris Bateman, whose credits include Ghost Master (published for the Mac by Feral Interactive).
Kult: Heretic kingdoms features more than 50 quests, dozens of rendered locations, dozens of monsters, weapons, armor and other items to collect, an “Attunement” system that lets you choose the path of your characters, and more.

System requirements call for Mac OS X v10.3.9 or later, G4, G5 or Intel (it’s a Universal binary), 512MB RAM, 2.5GB hard disk space, and Nvidia GeForce2 MX, ATI Radeon 7000, or Intel GMA 950 chipset or better with at least 64MB VRAM.

Anything that increases the CRPG-playing collective is a good thing.
