View Full Version : Hint request for enter rogue guild

I'm already in third area that I have almost finished and didn't see any opportunity to enter the Rogue guild despite I get the final message in first area and an additional explanation from the second Rogue in first area.
I try search/wanderer a little Ferdok with both rogues but found nothing. The only thing I quote was the mention of a guy with name matching the 4 first letters of the last message but that lead me nowhere. I tried search a lot in the Ferdok area quoted in this last message but found nothing.
Could you provide me an additional hint? I'd prefer just a hint than the full solution or a detailed walkthrough (even if I know that there's at least one who will post one despite my request!)

The entrance to the thieves guild is close to the sewers you went into when that woman was kidnapped.

Second hint if needed:
The entryway is slightly smaller than your typical doorway or other entrance.

Very broad hint:
Mouse over every door you see in the area that's mentioned in that 3rd note.
This will narrow your search:
Start in the northeast part of this area.
Here's a more focused hint that pretty much tells you where it is, and a humorous story of how I found it:
You know when you're hunting the murderers and there's some hubbub in the street because <spoiler> was just kidnapped and hauled into the sewers? Well, after being told this I looked around and quickly noticed a door that I could open leading to a cellar. Ah-ha, I thought, I've got you now!. So I go in and there's the thieve's guild. Oops, wrong cellar...
Good luck!

Weird I couldn't quote anything, thanks I'll try that.

The entrance is in my eyes a perfect example of "hidden before the open eyes".

Well there's many many stuff like that in the area, but Gorath hint was excellent, not too direct but helpful enough. In fact I gave up check all because there are too many and it bored me. The hint changed that point. You can argue it is a little different, well perhaps.

Personally, I wouldn't give any hint at all. Personally, I believe that players should find things themselves. Therefore I hesitate to give out hints about "finding something" at all.
To me, finding this entrance is kind of a "riddle" I like. Because the player has got to search and find it, all by him/her self.
It's like "someone tell me where he 'abcdefg' shop is ?" while being new in town.

This case isn't at all a riddle nor a puzzle, both include in themselves their hints, a secret don't.
Here it's the secret category, find something hidden in an area, can't be more secret. But a secret is good only through how good are its hints.
In this case, there's probably a hint, it looks different if I'm not wrong. But well for such a wide area it's poor hint, I have seen better design.
