1Up has picked up an newsbit (http://www.1up.com/do/newsStory?cId=3173931) from a UK site called Electronic Theatre who say the first two DLCs for Fallout 3 will be released in a retail package. Apparently, Operation Anchorage and The Pitt will be released together for X360 and PC in Europe on May 29, and Amazon.com shows a US release for May 26th (http://www.amazon.com/Fallout-Expansion-Pack-Operation-Xbox-360/dp/B001REZLWU/ref=sr_1_3?ie=UTF8&s=videogames&qid=1240763927&sr=8-3). Broken Steel isn't included, which seems an odd decision.
More information. (http://www.rpgwatch.com/show/newsbit?newsbit=11884)

Well, not liking Windows Live, I would have bought this in a retail package. But without Broken Steel, it might be better to wait for the next package.

I will not buy any dlc for their game before they fix the bugs they introduced with their own 1.1 patch. The way things are right now, the game is effectively broken for me. As always Bethesda refuses to comment. I wonder when they stop treating their customers like doormats.

Why should they? Their current path leads to more and more sales. ;)

Yes, they are notoriously bad at releasing patches. Is there mayhap an Unofficial Fallout Patch Mod, or something like it, that could fix your game?

Edit: Found it.

Only 2 DLCs on the disc for $20?! That's an absolute joke......on us!

not really. i broke down and bought them both a week ago and if you are a completionist there's close to 20 hours between the 2 of them. the joke is actually on us (live suckers) because we had to spend $25 to get digital versions. and for me even though i've seen a sharp increase in digital purchases over the past year i still value a boxed version at 1.5 times the value. guess i'll dive back below and let the internet world continue on with its self fufilling sensationalism...

operation anchorage was somewhat mediocre and quesionablely worth $10 however the pitt was great, actually played it first, and easily worth $10.

20 hours? Why are you saying 2x - 3x more than anyone else?

Wow ... how did you manage THAT!?! I started with a new character and was done with The Pitt (including getting to a reasonable level before entering) in ~ 6 hours ... and I consider myself slow at this stuff.

I'll just wait for the inevitable GotY edition...
