Moonblade special powers?

I've just won the grand price in the arena of Mora Sul; the Moonblade.
Although it looks really good I was disappointed to see it does only 80 damage. I'm already playing with a bastard sword for a long time.

The description says that the sword has some special aura. Does that mean it has some magical bonus or special attack?

Maybe it gets more powerful at night, and even more during full moon? :)

A full moon suggests Werewolves or vampires etc' but i havn't met any yet!

Though the 'aura' and inscribed glyphs suggests the moonblade has magical qualities, i doubt it because i found the ice-blade and when i tried to sharpen it a scrolling text read "magical weapons cannot be modified" - - yet i 'could' sharpen the moonblade.

There are two quests it can be part of, though you can easily solve one of them wthout the blade. Then when you kill everyone you can just take it back ... or at least I did ;)
