Sword fighting tips ?

When fighting multiple enemies I try, whenever possible, to back myself into a corner. The AI is ruthless and will flank you.

In Arena fights it is nice to circle to your left while holding the right mouse button to block. When the enemy attacks his left side will be briefly exposed and you can attack. This move requires some practice.

My favorite strategy is simply to hold the right mouse button and then launch one attack as soon as the enemy finishes attacking.

That's what I don't like in the game. No Skill Required, you just hold down block. This is where G1 & G2 Surpassed, you actually had to time when to block, and not just hold it down.

Generally, I use power attack more than anything else. However, it's somewhat hard to get for Sword, as it is only available at rank 7.

Once you get power attack, the easiest way to beat most enemies is to jump back (double tap S) once or twice, then launch a power attack. Most enemies will jump more or less straight into the power attack.

I very rarely use parry. It's too risky. If you succeed though, it's better than block, as it creates an opening (there are enemies later in the game that will pretty much parry all your straight forward attacks, so the whole "block and then hit" won't really work). Of course, you should have power attack before you meet such enemies, so that shouldn't be much of a problem.
