Safety first! This is a time of year we tend to over-indulge ... please be careful and use your head and be around for the New Year!

Here! Here! Happy Holidays and Bah Humbug to all! You don't want too much of either one. It throws the universe off kilter and all. ;)

My wife and I joke that we can't wait until Tuesday night, after Christmas is done, after my brother visits and leaves on Tuesday ... THEN we can finally enjoy the holidays :D

Indeed, holidays with the family would be really nice if it weren't for all that annoying family...

Curious to know. What does that mean?

Corwin
December 23rd, 2006, 04:37
Read 'A Christmas Carol' by Charlie Dickens, or watch one of the many versions which appear on TV every year at this time!!

Darn!
Could you please tell me?
I don't think I'll ever do any of those two things...

All right.

I shall figure it out by myself, unless one of the other users here tell me. :)

I take pity on you in the holiday spirit enodenroH--"Bah Humbug!" is a quotatation from Dicken's character Scrooge, who felt that Christmas was generally a waste of time and-mostly--money--cuz he was a materialistic, grasping miser. Now go read the book or watch the movie, as it is an essential part of the Christmas mystique.
Happy Hols to all.

Speaking of 'A Christmas Carol', anybody ever see the one where Patrick Stewart plays Mr. Scrooge? I love that version. :)

Well, you don't have to feel that bad you know.
I just never took the time to savour this moment as much as you have.
I'll give it a try only if I happen to stumble upon them in either version.
I might then learn a thing or two, right?

Take care.

And the same from me, seasons greetings and a merry yuletide to all members.
.................
Speaking of Dicken's, that Oliver Twist character "Fagin" somehow reminds me of Corwin - don't ask me why.

Oliver. - "Please sir, i have't got a spoon to eat my porridge with"
Fagin. - "Spoon! - spoon! - use your fingers laddie like all the others"

:D

This Christmas was good! :) Unfortunately there's no snow where I live this year... I bet winter is going to come in a month or two with double power. *sigh*

@Cm: And I'm glad I found you guys! =) I just followed the tracks, convieniently left here and there. I've found only fragmentary evidence of what caused this exile, though. Hm, "Krzycha" - sounds more like a name for a girl...

We are glad you found the bread crumbs. The reason in short terms was the lack of response from Jolt to the needs of the staff. That is a very short explaination and a few other issues came into play but you can read some back posts and find them.

Corwin if you remembered to put me on a list, you know you would loose it in five minutes.

Corwin
December 27th, 2006, 02:10
Perhaps you meant LOSE CM, at least I still remember how to SPELL!!!! :p

Corwin seems so harmless and affable, why do you always want to hurt him CM? Either you have a mean streak or Corwin has multiple personalities. Perhaps it's a odd mix of both?

Corwin
December 28th, 2006, 01:28
CM is a mean, crotchety, grandma, who's jealous of the fact that she dies far more than I do in our weekly online NWN gaming sessions!! :)

Hmm. Thanks for the explanation; however, I think that grandma comment might send a few stray arrows your way...

Corwin

Nah, that's the plain, simple, truth, though she bristles at being reminded!!

xSamhainx
December 28th, 2006, 09:08
what class does CM play?

dteowner
December 28th, 2006, 14:48
Truth hurts, although "mean" might be a bit strong. "Crotchety" and "grandma" are pretty much given, though.

Of course, our aged Corwin forgets to mention that he plays a back-row-hiding, snot-nosed-wimp, spellcaster most of the time, leaving the real combat to CM while he tosses the occasional color spray and picks up all the good loot...

Cm
December 28th, 2006, 19:50
Not sure if I should add Dte to my list or thank him...........Ok as it is Christmas I will thank him. Yes, I almost always play a fighter. I even tried to keep Corwin alive for a while, then I realized he was cleaning out all the chests while I was gettin beat on.

I don't play a wizard, I play a sorcerer; they are quite different!! :) The only time we let CM play a caster, we spent more time finding her body to ressurect it, than we spent killing the monsters!! I think the score on deaths was something like Corwin 1, CM 319!!

Let's hope a myriade of awesome games will come our way.

We will do our best to inform you of these wonderfull, not so wonderfull and awefull games in this year too.

Here's a big toast to the staff members who watch out for all of the RPG news and inform us about it, the staff members who bring us new articles, features and other information, the staff members who watch out for these forums, our house cat for bringing colour to this site and Corwin for being our resident old grumpy man ;)

And if possible an even bigger toast for our visitors who are helping us in all of the above and all those who find the time to visut is and make it worth our while. Without you there would be no RPGWatch to visit.

Thank you all!!!

GothicGothicness, while I appreciate the wish, my hair is fine. Corwin is wishing for less hair in his ears I heard. Not sure about the head. :)

Happy New Year everyone!!!

What a party... *smiles dreamily*

I hope all of you had a great party... or a great whole night long gaming session (Well, I was less lucky in the past, heh). Wherever you were that night, I hope it was fun!

Hm, I don't have a resolution for the new year yet, but maybe I'll think of something that is actually possible.

and I'm offcourse very glad to see you here, Krzychu!

Long time no see, Bartacus. *bows slightly*

partied down in the desert, doing the 4-wheeler thing. I'll never truly get the sand out of every nook and cranny of my truck, and come to think of it, my body!

Did lots of fireworks, drank lots of beer, had lots of fun.

My resolution is to work out. I'm not like morbidly obese or anything, but the early 30's have taken their toll on someone who wasnt quite aware of the ramifications of their arrival. Around 200, when my ideal weight is probably around 180 or so.
