- I started playing rpgs with Ultima III on the Commodore 64. I never branched out much (the occasional text adventure, the occasional turn-based strategy), but I've been playing rpgs on and off since then.

- I like a range of "classical" composers, especially Bach, Bartok and Shostakovitch. I'm also really like the Carnatic music of southern India, though I don't pretend to understand it. And I still love lots of 90s alt-rock, from Sonic Youth to Jane's Addiction.
