I'm from St. Louis, which basically means I bleed Cardinal red. Clayton Kershaw of the Los Angeles Dodgers is the best pitcher in baseball and Adam Wainwright is a very good postseason pitcher and also a Cy Young contender many years. I was expecting a 2-1 or even a 1-0 victory from one team or the other tonight since those two are so good. What do we get instead? 10-9 Cardinals with bombs going out all over the yard. The Cardinals are not a home run hitting team, they got to the playoffs by being stubborn, grinding, and great pitching. Tonight 3 home runs, 2 against Mr. Cy Young. Unbelievable :)

At least you get to go to bed at a decent hour! THREE games in a row going into extra innings and two of those on the west coast? All of Kansas City slept in late today!

As a Tigers fan I'd rather not talk about it.:(

Good luck to the rest of you I'm going to watch the lions and red wings.

Ooh, St. Louis has a football team too, sakichop. Well....kinda. The currently St. Louis Rams, but soon to be the re-christened Los Angeles Rams :)

Hey Zloth, the Cards start tonight at 8:37 so I may end up feeling your pain!

It's SUPPOSED to be the St. Louis Cardinals for all the St. Louis teams!

Zloth, KC just steamrolled the Angels. Who woulda thunk it? The number one seeds don't seem to be faring well, since Washington is down 2-0 and has to play in San Francisco now. Cardinals-Dodgers is tied up, which I kinda expected. Pitching-wise the Cardinals should have a major advantage, once you get past the fearsome twosome of Kershaw-Greinke. We have a deeper starting staff and much better bullpen. Still, it's October. Wierd happens.

Well, St. Louis survived Kershaw twice and gets to face San Francisco again. I can understand the boredom that some feel towards the NLCS as it has been San Francisco or St. Louis for 5 straight years. What is funny about this, to me at least, is every year the pundits are shocked when these two teams destroy the opposition in the playoffs. It'll be interesting to see if the upstart Royals can defeat Buck Showalter. More than most managers, Showalter is a difference maker in games.

Unfortunately, the Tigers got what they deserved. That's what happens when you have one of the worst bullpens in the league for the last 5 years and do little to address it.

Yep, not to mention a bench and bottom of the order that has to be one of the worst in the league.

I mean pinch hitting something called Hernan Perez, pathetic.

I couldn't bring myself to ever root for any team that isn't detroit therefore I have no interest in the rest of the playoffs.

Winning so far tonight!

I tell ya - there's one advertisement playing where a British gal is talking about talking to my doctor. Doctor? British? Wait a minute, this is a Viagra advertisement! That just ain't right!

That's for sure! How long since you've seen a guy miss stepping on 1st base?

Bumgarner took care of my Cardinals tonight. They looked anemic against him. SF up 1.

KC pulled it out in the 9th; winning by the skin of our teeth yet again. We've won all 6 games we've played and every one of them has been by the skin of our teeth. We've got some seriously tough tooth-skin out here! ;)

The Cardinals pulled it off in the 9th too, but we just lost the best player on our team, Yadier Molina. Compared to Yadi, we have less than zero behind the plate the rest of the series. Cardinals chances went down massively tonight, even though we won the game.

Anybody with basestealers should love playing the Cards from here on out. Molina, even if he plays, won't be able to throw. The other two guys are a joke at keeping runners honest. Every single should be a triple.
