Bethesda Softworks - New Benelux Office

A minor item for players but Bethsoft continues their quest for world domination with the opening of a new Benelux office:
Quote:

Bethesda Softworks, a ZeniMax Media company, today announced the continued expansion of its global operations, opening a Benelux office in Eindhoven, The Netherlands. Bethesda Softworks, headquartered in Rockville, Maryland, currently has international offices located in London, Tokyo, Paris, and Frankfurt.
The Benelux office will directly oversee sales and marketing across The Netherlands, Belgium and Luxemburg, underscoring Bethesda Softworks’ commitment to its global publishing operations. With the opening of a new office comes the appointment of a new territory General Manager. Menno Eijck joins Bethesda Softworks as Managing Director, Benelux, having previously held the position of General Manager for Namco Bandai Partners, Benelux.

Are they jealous of Larian or what ?

"We open a new office in every country where a developing studio sits that hurts … err, makes interesting role-playing games.

Our goal is to invade into these markets of these locally well-known development studios, drive them into ruin … err, insolvency and stopm … stomp them out of our own market … Until only We are left to 'survive' " .

What does Larian have to do with anything?

Despite this news appearing here, their publishing arm is not out to only publish RPGs.

Bethesda Publishing wants to be a player in the publishing world, The benelux was one of the teritories where they still used an outside party to do publishing.

I wonder if they actually took over Namco-Bandai Partners Benelux. Because until recently New Vegas was going to be published by them in the Benelux. Now they have Bethesda as their own publishing and the Namco-Bandai manager is suddenly their manager.

Also, Namco-Bandai Partners Benelux used to be Atari Benelux until July 2009.
