We don't need screenshots, release the damned game already.

Also, I don't care what kind of half assed shape the pre-beta is in, they should let those who already paid download it.

First I've noticed this game. Can't seem to find much information about the details of the game though.

Somehow these screenshots remind me to Sacred 1. How old is this game?

It's been out for a couple of years, in Czech that is. English version has been promised for a long time but seems like it's not a front burner priority for them as some other games are.

Here's the Google translate of the character & game basics page:

To fulfill its holy mission, you will be able to choose one of three main characters - a priest, paladin, or thief. Each character is endowed with many skills that allow you to develop your chosen character into intriguing possibilities. Skills that control characters are of two types - common skills, common to each of the characters, and unique skills that make the main characters huge difference and allow you to try out three entirely different strategy management game. In doing so depends only on you, what skills and qualities you decide to develop your character, so for example, two priests from each can vary like day and night.

Investigation
Inquisitor is a role-playing game, which means that the main character will travel the game world, interact with other characters and of course the fight. The story revolves around the investigation of crimes against God and king. With its main character will look for traces of dangerous and cunning criminals obtain evidence against them and convict them. Meet most challenges is therefore subject to obtaining a sufficient number of incriminating evidence, which allows you to make accusations against the character and subsequently arrested. As evidence by the Inquisition while the code to use anything that can prove guilt of a suspect. Most often it will be witness testimony and doličné objects, but may also be a logical deduction as the main characters drawn from other, seemingly unrelated information. To facilitate your inquiry, all the evidence recorded in a special section of the notebook.

Arrests
Once you manage to collect an adequate number of evidence against a character, you can find locally relevant Inquisition prosecutor or a judge and ask for an arrest warrant. Based issued an arrest warrant can go and arrest a suspect. Characters arrest to indictment suspicious person. They either give up voluntarily, or you have to overcome her dislike for the use of violence. If you succeed, and the suspect will not fight to the death, a portrait of arrested person beside the portrait of the main character. Then you need to escort the figure arrested locally competent commissioner and give her to imprisonment.

Torture
An important part of the inquiry is entitled Inquisition torture - ie the right to use torture during interrogations. In the game so you will be able to detect the perpetrators of torture used four tools - the rack, strappado, the pillory and the iron maiden. In connection with the torture it is important to note that although it recognizes the right of the Inquisition as a regular method of obtaining testimony or a confession, you should to use it with caution, because they never know whether the questioned person is guilty, while torturing an innocent man may be the main figure very socially damaged. In addition, each of torture (whether they are guilty or innocent person) worsens the belief of the main character. Therefore always try to avoid torture by the evidence you needed another way. On the other hand, in some cases not possible.

Court
Once against the arrested person to get more (incriminating) evidence, you can take it to the locally competent inkvizičnímu judges. He, after hearing all the evidence gathered will decide whether the order against the accused the trial or not. If this happens, you as the plaintiff's attorney must present all the evidence and where to submit articles doličné, did you witness whom the accused guilty. If you do not have the objects in themselves, the trial will be suspended until you find the items doličné again. If you have these items with you or if they are to perform any items of evidence needed inquisitorial judge hands down a conviction and you will be required to ignite the firing line.

Torture Tools:

The rack is a classic torture instrument, in which it is placed on an inclined Interviewed on the bench and stretched with tension winch so when he vykloubí limbs and muscles crack.

Strappado - or timber - is a tool which helps you Interviewed pulled his hands tied behind his back to a height so that your own weight vykloubí arms in arms.

Pillory bench is fitted at the ends of the furnaces folding wooden boards with holes for arms, legs and head, into which closes interrogated and then whip beating, choking or burning iron with water pouring in the throat.

Iron Maiden is a metal instrument constituting torture gnats hollow figurine with spikes inside, and interrogated the dummy positioned in the center, which is then slowly closed to arrive at a gradual penetration of metal spikes into the body interrogated.

I think the graphics look amazingly detailed , hand crafted. Not a sigle house / window interior walls look the same.

Bit of an exaggeration, but yeah, it has a retro style and its quite detailed. The animations are really terrible though.

Could be good, at least it seems a bit different..

Looks awesome. This is exactly the graphics style I like for RPGs.

Maybe it will be worth the wait after all. :D

At the rate the translation is going I'll be surprised if its out by 2015.

We've been following this game (as RPGDot and now the Watch) for almost 10 years, when the developer was originally called Wooden Dragon. I preordered it 2009 - at that stage due in a couple of months. Nearly two years later, who knows when they'll actually release it.

Arkadia7 August 23rd, 2011 01:41

Yup, I noticed this game and was interested in it years ago, but have given up on it. I'm amazed they are still active in trying to get it out in English.

rich ruffo August 23rd, 2011 03:38

I was really pissed on all thhe delays and lack of updates but there is a Inquisitor team member that trys to give updates when they are there, his name is Martin and can sympathise with our frustration. At the end of the day i truly beleive the game will be released end of this year or very early 2020.

ToddMcF2002 August 25th, 2011 04:36

I think it looks great. An no offense meant… but when you preordered with a small East European developer… you had to kind of know you were taking your chances???

Now I want a Beltion update.
