Herokon Online - Das Schwarze Auge Browser MMO

Alrik notes if you're interested in a browser-based, MMORPG implementation of Das Schwarze Auge, head to their website to read about it.
More information.

As far as I understood it, and as it looks from the few screenshots avbailable, it will have an isometric view like some action-RPGs … and the few real screenshots look surprisingly similar to Sacred 1 in my opinion (which was originally planned to be an TDE RPG called "Armalion", after the name of a sacred sword of the Rondra church).

Since this had come like some kind of surprise (no-one knew about it), I know almost nothing about it yet.

By the way : "Das Schwarze Auge" = DSA (German) = TDE (English) = "The Dark Eye"

Wouldn't that be "The Black Eye"? ;) But that has a different meaning in English, doesn't it…

Alrik Fassbauer November 4th, 2011 19:06

Yes, exactly because of that different meaning it's "The Dark Eye" … ;)

Besides, what's called a "black eye" in English language is called a "blue eye" in German. ;)

Exactly as it is in Dutch, too. But The Black Eye does have a ring to it. :P

currently it is only available in German players www.dotmmo.com/herokon-online-5462.html

Herokon Online is an upcoming browser MMORPG inspired by “The Dark Eye”, a German classic pen and paper RPG known as Das Schwarze Auge (DSA for short). Dotmmo has posted an introduction about latest card game Kings and Legends, and this card game looks like a mmo. Players can choose the different classes at the beginning.
