Shadowrun Returns - Berlin vs Hong Kong

The Shadowrun second city survey ended with just 1% between Berlin and Hong Kong, so a second survey is away to backers. If you backed the project and didn't vote the first time, make sure you get your choice in this survey.
More information.

That sounds like the name of a VR half-orc pornstar that would fit into the shadowrun lore for some reason

Drithius May 17th, 2012 23:46

Hong Kong!

JDR13 May 18th, 2012 00:37

I'm going with Hong Kong. I wish Tokyo had been a choice though…

Dhruin May 18th, 2012 01:22

Berlin.

Dajjer May 18th, 2012 01:47

Hong Kong
for the diversity of locales (city, suburban, ocean front, poor sections)

but Berlin does have snow . . . .

Von Paulus May 18th, 2012 03:09

Berlin über alles.

I don't think Berlin will be what a lot of people think it will be. At this point in the timeline it's pretty close to a lawless freehold dominated by idealistic anarchists and not-so-idealistic opportunists taking advantage of the lack of strong governence. Culturally it will be very different from Seattle or Hong Kong as the powers that be will be far less overt in their influence and ability to extend their control. Even if its a little later in the timeline there would still be a large lawless section that dominates much of the city; though I would suggest not reading lawless quite like the slums of other Shadow Run cities - there's an idealistic side to it too that's got a strong if not overwhelming presence.

Ding dong.

No, that wasn't it. Hmm…

Ah yeah, now I remember: Hong Kong.

Lurking Grue May 22nd, 2012 10:52

Got an email from Kickstarter/Jordan and the winner is…

Berlin.

Achtung Baby!

Carnifex May 22nd, 2012 16:09

Yeah Berlin!!! Now I'm looking forward to the game even more =))
