This is why I'm so much against guns for everyone.

It can happen here as well - but guns aren't so openly available. It would be illegal owning of guns, then.

In order to be allowed to own guns, one has to get a special kind of "passport" for it here.

You have to have a license here as well, Alrik. Same as there.

Harder to get over here, though, and more limitations with regards to the kind and number of weapons you are allowed to own. Nevertheless it is correct that it is easier to own weapons e.g. in Germany than many Germans think, and here as there a lot of illegal weapons circutlate as well.

Well, the shooter could have killed the guy so it was still "kind" in a way to just shoot him in the arm ;) .

The shooter let the guy keep the slug. Free of charge, even. Nothing kinder than charitable giving. :P

If guns are outlawed, only outlaws will have guns. And the government. But thats ok, as they've demonstrated their trustworthiness time and again.

I'd rather an outlaw or the government have guns than a paranoid psychotic loony with a gun fetish.

Where else do you have people who want all of these :
- guns at home (in easy reach for children)
- eating eye balls and faces
- to be shot in the arm to get on Oprah and sell a slug of metal
all in one place ? :D
