Wasteland 2 - Enemy NPC Portrait Sneak Peek

The Wasteland 2 forums have a piece of concept art for an enemy portrait - it's only one, but worth a quick look.
More information.

I believe it's one of the promised cultural references. It has to be based on Sam, the worlds ugliest dog, who even has his own website apparently.

Personally, I'm trying to figure out how the NPC portraits will work within context of the game. Are they trying to do some kind of homage to the original's combat portraits and NPC interactions? Trying to reconcile that with what we know of the turn based combat and overhead viewpoint.

I knew I had seen something similar to that artwork before, and that's exactly it. Thanks for posting it!
