The RPGFAN preview reads like it was google translated. The author doesn't like turn-based combat either and didn't seem to read the game feature list before "buying" it.

I don't know, seems like more of a strategy game than RPG…at least by what I saw on the homepage

The combat could be called strat-ish I suppose but it absolutely is story driven with multiple approaches to most of the quests.

If that's the impression their homepage gives then someone is doing a horrible job with It because that couldn't be further from the truth.

It's very much an RPG.

Agreed. Only someone who is unfamiliar with RPGs in general or only played hack/slash games would classify D:OS as a strategy game.

that would be saying all SSI's aren't RPGs(that means-curse of azure bonds series, gateway to savage frontier etc).

and also fallout games. which had action points, and turn based combat.

turn based combat is the thing. instead of being constantly over the edge in real time cobat, you can sit back and actually calculate your moves. and even drink coffee between rounds. much better use of the other hand than ASDW.

P.s.
if they could make combat as intense as FO, that would be something.
