I hadn't really looked into this game, but from what I've seen now in the other piece at Gamespot, this will probably become a huge RPG hit! And now that I've bought an Xbox 360 (I have succumbed to the console demons!!), this might be a good title to look at.

"And at any point in the game, you can be wearing your choice of armor, carry your choice of weapons, have your choice of squadmembers at your side, and all of their abilities (and yours) will be ones you've chosen to develop throughout the game."
Wow, it's like…a normal party-based RPG! Welcome to next gen. Hopefully the gritty Earthborn background will enable the "Nobody gives ORDERS to Commander Shepherd!" dialogue option. |
If you look very closely, and then pause this great character creatiion vid from IGN; you can see that that Casey actually chooses female —- and for 1-2 seconds the female Shepard is appearing on the screen. Good feature, I say :)
As we get closer to release, more and more rpg like elements in this game gets revealed :) No, I just need a job ;) —- to pay for an Xbox 360 — |
As a guy who plays more RPGs than FPSes, I wasn't a huge fan of the marketing push that was emphasizing the shooter-acity of the game. I'm happy that they're talking about the character customization options more (not just classes and equipment, but the talent chains, too) in their recent releases.
