I voted G1, but the Gothic game that I played the most is probably G3 which I really enjoyed, warts and all.

The Risen games are solid but not up to Gothic standards.

I played through IWD1 at the higher difficulties, and tactics mostly revolved around kiting, choke points, web and other debuffs, and fireballing (or other AOE spells) against immobilised enemies….
