Well, in my language "arsehole" not " asshole" if we're being pedantic. "Cunt" is mild slang and "racist" isn't a term I've had to grow up being subjected to.

I only did it because I knew I'd get an essay from an American on the topic. In a similar vein I enjoy using the word - and in deference to US sensibilities I won't type it in full - c*nt online…

Good call on the Dark Sun games. They're very over-looked. Perhaps because they were almost impossible to run on Windows 95 even with the most minimal boot disk. There's the bugs too. But the only…

I can't think of anything duller or more unworkable than Napoleon's wars under this engine. The game works by reshaping history over then centuries. It's not a Total War game.

The funny thing is that Dark Souls isn't really a PC game and it's getting a conversion. I couldn't imagine playing Dark Souls without an Xbox controller. Dragon's Dogma on the other hand screams PC…

Loved the original and bought all the expansions. That amounts to literally hundred hours of gameplay. So loooong. And that ARPG/RTS mix shouldn't work but somehow it does.

Didn't like Spellforce…

I grew up with his games and his star was fading even then. Ultima Pagan wasn't greeted with universal acclaim…

They've outlined much of my problems with modern 3-D RPGs. The technology and development resources available don't match the scale of the developer's ambitions. Why don't they just set their games…

Play Dragon's Dogma for a while and the Borderlands comparison is more obvious. It appears at first glance much more of an RPG than it actually is. Like Borderlands, it's essentially a single player…

Anachronox had me laughing out loud. I can't recall ever laughing at a Bioware game. Not by design anyway.

You are correct. I'm thinking of Xtension(?) maybe. I've being playing video games since Pacman and am suffering from gamer's senility. All these games bleed into one after a while. The nurse will be…

'What might otherwise just be "goofy" becomes funny and endearing'

No it doesn't. For me it was merely irritating - never mind goofy. Humour is subjective and I haven't enjoyed a single moment of…
