I'd argue that the series started going downhill…

I'd argue that the series started going downhill about the time the ending of Risen 1 started. That was just so bad.

Do note that glide wrappers in general don't have the 16bpp limit. You don't get the color banding that you did with real hardware.

nglide is free anyway, so if you wanted to update your GOG…

Well, damn. Yet again I said I wouldn't back any more software projects because I'll be able to get them on Steam for $5 before I ever get a chance to play them. But I can't pass this one up.
