After some research on the Sacred forums I found…

Even Bioware did that with the 1.67 patch for NWN. So it must be a new trend among game…

Good to see that it will be PC-only, we'll see how long that lasts. If Bioware's priority is making games for consoles then we could see yet another multi-port Kotor/Jade Empire release.
