Not as far as I'm aware. I've heard the opposite is true, though, that the game can spoil events in the books. However, if you're reading in English, you're going to be waiting a long time to read all the books. We've only had two translated so far, a third is coming next year (I think) and I've not heard anything about the rest of the series.
