No, I was quite serious. I moonlight, occasionally, as an English tutor, and your written English is far better than any of my (native) students. Though, it's not exactly shocking to me to learn that there are five assholes on the Internet.

Oh, and I was impressed to have received a personal email in response to signing up for the beta! Made me wonder if that's what the Internet would have been like, were it around four or five decades ago.
