That's one of several reasons why I'm against Steam, too.

Using Steam is like … doing something into the direction of EA's "Project 10 Dollar".

Since the used games market has been declared war because it is THE PRIME EVIL, more and more publishers are likely to use Steam simply to battle the used games market.
