Yes they can get as old as a person, @ 20 he's still young.

But yes they can truly be a nightmare, people often doesnt realize how much of a commitment it is and sells them after a few years, which can be very devestating to the bird.

African Greys are superior with words, he knows maybe around 100, many which he can use in a intelligent way to express himself. It's as loveable as it is annoying.
