Just doesn't make much sense. Planets covered almost entirely by liquid water are not going to have exclusively dry islands are they? Nitpicking a bit, I know, but I like it when devs put a bit of thought into the worlds they create rather than just mixing and matching attributes at random. That sort of indicates that they aren't really serious about immersion (pun intended).
