A small victory.

Haven't watched Fincher's remake of Girl with the dragon tattoo:

Seems it's two sequels, remakes of sequels in fact - are cancelled.

I really don't care for the fate of the remake(s), but I do suggest you to watch that original trilogy as soon as possible:
http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1132620/ The girl… with the dragon tattoo
http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1216487/ … who played with fire
http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1343097/ … who kicked hornet's nest

I'll never understand why Hollywood wanted to remake this masterpiece in the first place. And this is not the first example when after the first movie is remade, other two are cancelled (The Departed vs Infernal Affairs trilogy masterpiece).

Why is Hollywood "stealing" masterpieces instead of trying to remake it's own fails? Some movies could under different director, scriptwriter and actors be good.
