Thanks for the suggestions guys. None of the samples really seemed hit the nerve though. The reason I like The Counting Crows latest is because half of the album (the Saturday Night part) is rock, testosterone filled night-on-the-town music, which caters well to my feelings of anger over the situation. The second half of the album (Sunday Mornings) is mellow and contemplative, which works well for the sad mood swings. …. Ah women…. They just confound me.

Anyways… Zakhary, it sounds like it might be hard for you to find a group that caters to what your looking for consistently - Something that's in-between Metal and what dte listed. Usually metal bands have a few softer songs scatter within albums but I can't think of any album that's consistently in that spot between too soft and too hard.
