I was just searching for post apocalyptic pixel art (as you do) and stumbled upon something interesting and quite recent.
On a page called "Streak Club" I found a couple of very cool looking pictures, which apparently are concepts of a game which is being made.
The Streak Club linked to the page of "crafting legends". And there you can also find some background info about the designer behind it - Stephan Hövelbrinks who is apparently doing lots of tiny games, also on gamejams.
In any case, the shots he presented are quite cool, and I am looking forward to see more of that game (and I would definitely back it on KS), which now also got it's own page. So to take a look at the game this is probably the best address yet: http://deathtrashgame.tumblr.com/
