Two Worlds: The Temptation - Newsletter #64 @ RPGVault

I enjoyed Two Worlds and couldn't stand any of the Gothic games, so I'm not sure these two are pointed at the same audience either. TW feels closer to Oblivion than Gothic, but in no way does it supercede the big O. I enjoyed the alchemy and weapon upgrade system of TW quite a bit and enjoyed robbing the cities.

So I'm certainly right to not be tempted to play TW. The reason I didn't play it was too many players comment that it was very appealing during the first two hours and then becomes empty. But the biggest complain was the total lack of challenge, something a little weird for a game focusing on action. I wonder if a mod or hack ever fix that.

From what I've heard, the last few patches tweaked the balance quite a bit, and made the game more of a challenge.
