Akella has announced a Disciples III sequel subtitled Resurrection:
This is a new landmark in the history of Nevendaar, when a new race ascends to power - the ruthless and merciless Undead Hordes. It is the story of selfless love and unfading glory. Heroes of the past, who had lost their lives, but not their sentience, are exacting their revenge in the name of Mortis, the Goddess of Death.
Key features:

  • The most expected race - The Undead Hordes, which has been the mostly anticipated by gamers and fans of the Disciples series
  • Over 70 hours of gameplay. This is even more than in the previous game in the series - Disciples 3: Renaissance!
  • 2 storyline characters, 4 leaders of the Undead Hordes, 2 bosses and over 50 new units.
  • Revised gameplay balance.
  • Famous distinct gothic atmosphere. Unique style and design. Detailed and realistic world.
  • The plot of the game was written by Ekaterina Stadnikova, the author of the most popular book based on the series.
  • Dramatic and intriguing plot and quests.
Worthplaying has the three screens released.

At best, I can only muster up mild hope that this turns out incredibly better than Disciples III from all I've seen and read on it. Even with said hope, I get the feeling money would have a hard time getting loose from my wallet unless I was abundantly sure it was quality.

Until then, all of Disciples I will be concerned with is my GoG backlog...

D3 are a good game ruined by bad balance, to easy on "normal" and imposible on "hard", so (•Revised gameplay balance) sound good to me.

Sounds promising, I heard such bad things about the gameplay with the base release but that's something they should be able to sort out a bit more easily
