Risen - Gothic Mod

World of Risen is pointing out a mod that adds some Gothic flavour to Risen, such as music, some monsters and interface elements. I'm not sure how that would work out but it's an interesting idea - intro thread here with details and release thread here with installation instructions (scroll down for English).

I wouldn't want to rain on their parade - but I think it's a pretty pointless mod. Gothic looks good enough as it is, and the work required to completely convert Gothic to the Risen engine would be prohibitive. Unfortunately, that's the only way the result would be worthwhile.

It's nice for what it is, the point is (my impression at least) just to give it a hint of nostalgia, not much else to it.
