You'll also find quite a few WoW/MMO references.

If you support Lord Harrowmont, Prince Behlen will attack you. Outside the Assembly, the announcer will talk about the attack, and then call it an "epic fail".

I heard that 'epic fail' was originally from an old d&d handbook (rolling a 1 with a d20 was described as an 'epic fail')

This already been mentioned in this thread but well. Its name could have its origin from the Brocéliande forest, one of the name used for this forest is Brecilien. This is a myth forest of the Arthurian legends but also a forest localized in French Britain.
