Hello,

have you heard the latest news ? Irish Bankers talking about efforts to keep *their* banks from a collapse ?

If not, then read this : http://www.guardian.co.uk/business/2013/jun/24/anglo-irish-bankers-taped-recordings

This is astounding. Really. You should read it.

Follow-up : http://www.guardian.co.uk/business/2013/jun/25/anglo-irish-bank-tapes-bailout

And German reaction towards it : http://www.guardian.co.uk/business/2013/jun/26/anglo-irish-tapes-germany-offended

And more : http://www.guardian.co.uk/business/2013/jun/28/angela-merkel-anglo-irish-bank-scandal?INTCMP=SRCH

It's just impressive, how far Bankers can go. At least those at the top, not necessarily those at the bottom, too.

Those at the bottom were responsible for talking people with little to no securities into taking up credits and dabbling in speculative investment, which had pretty horrible consequences.

So yeah either all bankers are inherently corrupted or it's the culture of their business that corrupts them.

I'd rather believe in "it's the culture", but I'm not going to condemn everyone at the bottom - simply because they are so close in contact with customers (or at least I assume so), that they just cannot lift off from the earth (read : lose earth contact) like those top positions are able to.

welp, if you make up acronyms for easily exploitable customers that shows you're feeling quite secure and well-adjusted in your corrupted alternative universe.

The word "Bankster" was invented in the 20s of the last century.

And, besides, I do know when to apply cynism and when not.
My opinions differ from yours, so that you'll probably see me being more cynical in fields you wouldn't expect.
