If you follow the image to its source — beware! The strip is often very NSFW.

Here's a shorty :

How I learned to mind my own business

I was walking past the mental hospital the other day and all the patients were shouting:
"13...13...13!"

The fence was too high to see over, but I saw a little gap in the planks, so I looked through to see what was going on.

Some idiot poked me in the eye with a stick, then they all started shouting:
"14...14...14!"

:D

There's a mom-n-pop store I pass coming home from work that has a sign out front. They've got a long history of putting up a new (generally, very bad) pun each week. The past two have been so silly that they're kinda fun.

-I tried to call the zoo but the lion was busy.
-Thought I'd become a vegetarian but it was a missed steak.

Not sure if this one, since it has an obvious educational side to it, should be in the science thread, or (cough,cough) TYDNTK. Or one of the P&R threads (but then I wouldn't post it, would I?). Anyhow, here's Dylan Moran:

It's all part of his Like, Totally show where he also has a few things to say about americans.

pibbur who hopes he has nothing to say about pibburs.

EDIT: Some of you may have noticed that this very post for a very short time appeared on the currently listening thread, where it didn't belong, until pibbur learned the error of his ways and brutally killed it, resurrecting it here where it probably belongs. Assuming this is the daily smile thread.

EDIT2: It is.

pibbur who thinks German is like Reverse Polish Notation (postfix), all the operators come at the end of their sentences.

I wrote my thesis at university about ;)

@Alrik
Normal algebraic notation (Good to read for humans):
(1+2)*(4-3)/5

Problem: you have parentheses in it that need to be evaluated first, you can't work from left to right (computers like to work linear).
New rule: We work with a list and a FIFO-stack:
Write the operator down when you have all operands:
1 2 + 4 3 - * 5 /

-> no more parentheses and you can evaluate it from left to right:

1 Operand -> Stack 1
2 Operand -> Stack 1|2
+ Operator -> 1+2=3 Stack 3
4 Operand -> Stack 3|4
3 Operand -> Stack 3|4|3
- Operator -> 4-3=1 Stack 3|1
* Operator -> 3*1=3 Stack 3
5 Operand -> Stack 3|5
/ Operator -> 3/5=0.6 Stack 0.6
END -> Result=0.6

I'm an expert :)

PS:
Polish Notation:
Write the operator before the operands is simply not so useful.

I just don't like the term itself, not the way it was made up.

It's like "inverse French cooking". ;)
