Some trashy steampunk - Adventures of the Pneumatic Zeppelin
He already said the series will overtake him at some point, and that he told the important people major plot points just in case. Don't have a reference right now, but I think it was on his blog.Season 4 on HBO starts Sunday, and I wonder if Martin will be able to keep up with the series.
The third season has already begun to look tired IMO, I think people will be pretty done with it quite a lot sooner than the immediate hype suggests. The over-use of the torture scenes in the third series were a real indicator that something felt tired. I personally almost felt ripped-off, like-wise with the never ending 'march' of the undead. I know undead are slow, but jeez, that fat guy seems to cover more ground than they do. The dialogue felt more forced than the first two and it all felt a lot more hit-and-miss.
Then I found out its because they're doing one book in two series…
Oh yeah, the Hobbit syndrome…
Finished Red sea under red skies second in gentleman bastards series and I liked it less than first book(Lies of Locke Lamora).
I am now starting David Gemmell's Legend first of Drenai series which I believe was DTE's first recommendation when I asked about books similar to Name of the wind
