Political and politically incorrect humor

Yet, I hear that most Americans don't 'get' British humour at all. Why is that, I wonder?

For me anyways, a large part of the British humor I hear is "local". IOW, the vast majority of the jokes are about a place or person who are well known in that area. But I have never heard of it or them. Kind of hard to understand the humor then isn't it? And then some of it is also British "slang", again which I don't know. And for a lot of people the accent makes it difficult to understand as well sometimes.

At least it shows, where the the inbreeds live…

Edit: Of course only the legal inbreeds, otherwise Texas would surely be on the list...

****warning, racist terminology, if that sort of thing offends, move along****

The gardener at The White House had been dismissed after 28 years of loyal service to the many U.S. presidents.

When interviewed, the gardener protested his innocence and said "All I know is I was walking past the Oval Office and I asked, "Has anyone seen the spade and the hoe?" The next thing I knew, my ass was fired."
