They will now get extra money as they planned. Probably not as much as they secretly hoped, but:

Now they have to deliver a game!

Estimating from the content shown in their KS pitch video this game will costs about 1.5 mil to 2 mil to make in the US. Even calculating in that groceries, upkeep, office space costs a lot less - costs could probably be divided by 4? - in eastern countries.. still that leaves around 500 000 dollars. Where are they going to get the money, so they can safely finish??? ? ?

Obviously a good question. I think a lot of teams work off of their savings, and Kickstarter is less for the money as to see if there is an audience for their games. They hope the finished project will then pay off their work and let them develop full time.

Where exactly are you taking those numbers from? Take a look at other kickstarter projects - take Expeditions: Conquistadore for example. Got 77000 with their kickstarter campaign (plus possible paypal money) and delivered an amazing and ambitious game.

Then, this is not a AAA production. It doesn't have to sell millions due to the wayyy lower costs. You're talking about 1,5 million when produced in the US and I would pretty much doubt that's necessary for a low budget indie game nowadays (with free 3D engines available, as well as assets). But then, we don't even have to go that way because Creative Forge is based in Warsaw, Poland. You can have a junior programmer here for less than 1000 $ a month and he can put out quality work. How many of those do they need at this point and how many can they get with the money they got? Office space? Might be expensive in Warsaw compared to other cities in Poland, but running costs is something they should have made sure they can cover way before even starting the kickstarter campaign. And there's no need to throw money at a publisher or retail, they can talk about publishing rights once the game is out (as with other kickstarter projects). Plus, it looks like a huge chunk of the game is close to being finished already, doesn't seem as if they need to spend much of the money on assets at this point.
