Default If mods were possible with this game…

I would like to see the following things:

- Personlize the looks of your character
- Personalize the clothing of your character
- more space ships to buy
- more weapons
- more varied NCP's (I see too often the same faces)
- adding children to the game (just for in the towns or populated zones cause it makes it more realistic)
- more planets
- more fauna and flora
- more vehicles (more variation)
- more weight limit (I know Wesp5, I keep on repeating it cause want it that much )
- third person view
- a radio in my space ship with different channels so I can listen to music when I mine and when I kill me some bad people
- wingmen with commands I can give if possible
- companions when I'm on planets, would like to have a chat with them as well or exchange stuff with them
- more spacy music when I'm in space and if I'm not listning to the radio and on the ground as well
- while I'm at it, more varied music in bars

If I think of more I will add other stuff but feel free to share your thoughts as well.
Just for the sake of dreaming cause I know this game isn't really that moddable.

1) Bug/scripting fixes
2) Writing improvements
3) Get rid of the countdown before even starting to reload a saved game after death…

What the subtitles and conversations in the game concerns Wesp5 has been doing a great job on improving that for a while now

For the other two, yeah those would be most certainly welcome

I'd wish for a mod that got rid of that damn weapons crate that appears every time you drop something from your inventory.

I actually like those. Make's it easier to find stuff you drop.
Plus if you drop more stuff near the box, it will appear in same box.

P.S.
From technical standpoint it was probably done since most items, exempt weapons, have no 3d model.

Now, what I would like is for box to disappear, after you loot it.

Out of everything you suggested Tarash, my favorite is the idea of more planets to land on. Taking a cue from Mass Effect here would be a plus. I wish that we could land on every planet we could fly to, or that there was a well thought-out reason why we can't land on some of the others. Simple things like, "The gravity is too high", or "The atmosphere is too caustic". Little things like that would show you it was thought out. Rather than it just being that you can land on a planet when the dev's are ready for you to, and you'll crash into it if they're not.

While translating the reource file I noticed references to at least one more planet and one more spaceport on a known planet. I don't know if this content is still hidden somewhere in the game files and could be restored. I did a lot of content restoration in my Unofficial Patch for Bloodlines, but I don't know what is possible with The Precursors.

I hope you guys can discover that, more planets are always welcome like Bradley confirmed as well.

Of all the other things I suggested, are those really just dreams and not possible at all or have you noticed stuff in the files that could point to changing and adding some more?

I just checked this again, in fact two planets with three spaceports are mentioned. These are one on Negletik and two on Limpid. There are also missions descriptions connected to them…

We are just at the beginning and while I learn more and more about the dialogue system, I think with issues like making the drop boxes disappear after looting or removing the loading countdown, a programer like badmofo would have better chances to figure it out .

Can you imagine there being a "nexus" for The Precursors?? That would be SWEET! :-D

If you don't know what I mean, here's an explanation.
Fallout 3, Fallout New Vegas, The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion, and Dragon Age: Origins all share a site (with individual addresses) called NEXUS. Each one of the games I mentioned has hundreds and hundreds of new missions, models & textures, game tweeks, etc, all made by the community.

http://www.fallout3nexus.com/
http://www.newvegasnexus.com/
http://tesnexus.com/
http://www.dragonagenexus.com/

Granted, the Fallouts and Oblivion had the advantage of the Garden of Eden Creation Kit (G.E.C.K.), but there are countless hours of new content within these sites. I would LOVE it if The Precursors had it's own page there, or at least something like it.

I've had a bit of a poke around and can kind of see how it all hangs together, but changing that stuff would be a grind without the SDK.

BUT I've had a mysterious stranger message me with a question about the unpacker and he/she mentions that they will release the SDK on this forum later. Wow, that would be huge!

It would be nice to be able to join a faction and have a follower or command group (like in STALKER Clear Sky) that would be awesome running around with some empire guys in the exo suits!

MORE WEAPONS! all I ever use is the Assualt Rifle.

Satiation? (getting Hungry and having to eat or you lose stamina)theres plenty of food around too.

A new Planet or expansion of slighly used planets (like the planet you go to get the Cold Fusion device - its small)

actual faction oriented space missions (instead of protect/escort/destroy)

varied NPC models/skins

better sunsets (in my game it goes from light to dark VERY quick, theres no twilight)

better rain (the rain looks awful)

A-Z custom skins so she doesnt look like every other hologram

Option to build/ buy home on each planet (complete with STASH BOXES)

More "Mercenary" type missions.(assassinations, sabotage, theft of sensitive materials and new tech) Treece is a merc after all, he should be in high demand with all the different factions.

change out some of the broken perks(like Chaser) and add in some better perks (maybe a 50% damage bonus against Gnows)

and MORE WEAPONS!

On the other hand, enemies don't have secondary weapons, like player.

I'll add some more suggestions.

- a more interactive map with a zoom function
- a bank so you can place some of your hard earned credit there with interest
- a container to store your stuff in would fit nice with the house owning thing
- a mod manager which let's you easely add an remove stuff
