Default Cleril Calamity Studios: The Fall(en)

"Well, here I am."

Suicide, a topic many deem insurmountable and even more consider the act a possibility. But now, why? Why do you commit suicide? Is it out of some self-prescribed dilemma or is it out of a lack of acceptance of your situation or life you have been given? Regardless of your answer perhaps you've never thought of suicide, never considered the idea that death can happen at any moment in your fragile meat bag. Well, perhaps you'd like to entertain the thought, just to learn of course.

The Fall(en) is a game that can last anywhere from 50 seconds to 5 minutes. You take control of a nameless guard from the town of Haven as he heads up a cliff to attempt suicide. But…something keeps him from jumping. Or maybe he's just being a scared cat chasing his tail. You do not control the guard entirely, you are just one part of him, namely his subconscious. What will you do with this kind of power?

The Fall(en) encourages multiple playthroughs as you will not be able to learn all there is to learn in one lifetime. So take two, three, or even more. You got plenty, right?

Features:

*A short story about what could be anyone.

*Always an option to jump regardless of what you do.

*5 minutes to experience how one might logically come to suicide as a conclusion.

Upgraded Features:

*New font, Kristen ITC used.

*New title screen music made by me. Also a short ending clip used if you do something in the game.

*Slight tweaks to give a little bit more quality, no writing was changed however.

I really like what you did with the sky. It absolutely sets the tone. Played through it three times, all three were different, was kinda surprised with the suicide sound.

I'd just like to interject here and point out that I'm not going to say anything to spoil the mood, Chief. I'll just float here and watch. Don't mind me, just sitting here, floating and watching, that's me.

Sadly I did not make the sky. Of course, I did choose it, so I can take credit for that.

And the sound was also not made by me, everything in The Fall(en) graphics wise is standard VX resources. The only thing I made was the music (both the menu and reverse cymbal sound if you walk away). Of course I also wrote the thing entirely.

I'm glad you liked it and you could probably play it up to 5 times before running into repeats. Of course I have no idea as I haven't seen it myself in two years but I'd guess 5 or so times before you run out of options.

The point behind that by the way is to show that in one life you can never learn all their is about yourself. You must live multiple lives to do that. And knowing that information, is suicide worthwhile? Or is it instead pointless?

Of course The Fall(en) is a logical look at suicide, not an emotional one.

Thanks to you for the feedback! I appreciate the support.
