GOP Corruption and Obstruction

So DTE, you don't understand simple math now? Really, have you been partying with Tea Baggers, again?
December 8th, 2011, 18:49
Can't let this one fall off the first page!
GOP corruption has reached an historic high in obstruction so it can politically corrupt regulatory agencies. Vote them out!

Ah, poor Thrasher isn't noting anything Michael Moore doesn't tell him again. From YOUR source:
There's no disagreement, said Sen. Richard Shelby, R-Ala., about the need to bolster consumer protection. "The only real point of contention is whether the new bureau of consumer financial protection will be accountable to the American people," said Shelby, the top Republican on the Senate Banking, Housing and Urban Affairs Committee.
Last May almost every Republican senator signed a letter to Obama saying they would oppose any bureau nominee until changes were made in its operation.
They're pushing to replace the director with a bipartisan board. They want to subject the bureau, now is under the Federal Reserve's jurisdiction, to the congressional appropriations process. They favor giving more banking regulators authority to overrule agency decisions.
"The president knew about these concerns months ago and he chose to dismiss them," said Senate Republican leader Mitch McConnell of Kentucky.

You are clearly are off your medicine today, DTE, if you can't remember that it only takes a few GOP (Giant Obstructionist Prick) congressmen to fillibuster and fuck up any legislation.

Childish name calling does so much for your argument. At least go for "politely condescending" like me.
You really should give the repubs some serious credit. 235 years and they're the first folks to rule from the minority… With that sort of innovation, you'd think we'd have better luck putting a throttle on Obama's wild spending. C'mon. Either you're full of shit and making excuses, or your party is made up of some serious dumbasses. It's not like the filibuster rules changed in the last few years, you know. How did your dumbasses not manage to block Iraq from the minority? How did your dumbasses not manage to thwart the evil dismantling of government by Dubya from the minority? Perhaps it's not such a good excuse, eh?

Because the GOP will use every dishonable dirty trick in the book to win. Unlike the Dems. Forgotten Nixon so quickly?
December 8th, 2011, 21:57
Because your white knights would never, say, lie to congress under oath, right? Forgotten Slick Willie and (from today's other post) Mr. Holder so quickly?
Seriously, that's the best you've got?

Clinton wasn't breaking laws to win an election. Instead he was being hounded for his personal behavior, by the hypocritical right. Try again…
December 8th, 2011, 22:07
What's Eric Holder's excuse?
I don't care that Willie liked hooha-scented cigars. More power to him. Married to the Ice Queen, you can almost sympathize. I do care that he lied, under oath, after he got caught. At least Tricky Dick had the decency to step down after he got caught.

BTW there are many other Republican criminals, but it's pointless to point them out to you since you live so far up the river Denial that it would take a meteor to blow you out.

How did this fall to the fourth page?
To fix that here is a scary article about a Virginian who advocates armed revolution if the GOP doesn't get its way at the polls this year. We've heard this threat before from wacked out thugs in the GOP during the last election. Freak Ted Nugent said something similar last month. Now this. It seems psychos gravitate to right…

And the repubs mostly vote as a block. They are particularly good at toeing the party line.

As I have said before, the GOP is the home of racists and bigots, yet they are always crowing about freedom and liberty, including apparently, the freedom to be irrationally biased. :/
Rick Santorum: another slip of the tongue but was it the 'N-word'?

2 months old, and a guy that got swept out of the campaign. And he didn't actually say anything, according to your article. Boy, you really got us there, didn't you. I notice that you're somehow silent on Holder's ongoing refusal to prosecute the Black Panthers for clear-cut intimidation tactics at polling sites, but that doesn't really fit your preconceived worldview, does it.

So Santorum wasn't about to say nigger? What was he about to say then? And how about the other incidents quoted in the article? Not to mention all the rightie talk about how blacks are lazy? Denial much?
EDIT: and don't forget the rightie bigoted crusade to squash gay rights
So this year, vote Republican if you believe in blaming scapegoats for the country's problems (the poor, the non-white, the gays, etc.). Sounds a bit like facist Germany? You bet. :/

Who is to say what Santorum was going to say? You, I guess. And we'll skip over the impressive logic where you use the single data point to define the entire group. After all, it's much easier to demonize the other side if you operate that way, right?
And, just for fun…
So this year, vote Democrat if you believe in blaming scapegoats for the country's problems (the rich, the establishment, the religious). Sounds a bit like communist Russia? You bet. :/
See what I did there? And it's just as silly.
